It might be dyslexia! Dyslexic children are BRIGHT! But because of differences in the way their brains are wired, many will have trouble learning to read even with traditional, phonics-based methods.

As a trained Orton-Gillingham reading therapist, my job is to connect bright children like your own to the endless opportunities that await them in their futures. I do this through individualized, systematic, one-on-one dyslexia tutoring!
Whether your child attends public or private school, or is homeschooled, do not presume that your child will simply outgrow his reading difficulties. If your child has dyslexia, even popular interventions and reading programs like Reading Recovery and Sylvan Learning Center are not proven by research to be effective in treating dyslexia. What your child needs is a type of direct, one-on-one, multi-sensory therapy that is proven by years of research to remediate children with dyslexia. That is exactly the kind of reading tutoring I offer.
If you think you can't afford a private reading tutor, think again. My tutoring rates are extremely competitive and I offer a special rate for daytime (during school hours) tutoring, which will appeal to homeschoolers and children in private schools, if I have permission to come to your child's school and tutor on-site. This arrangement will not only save you money, but precious after-school time as well.
In addition, I am fully qualified to act as a dyslexia consultant to parents and schools. If you are a parent and would like to know if your child has dyslexia and want dyslexia testing, I offer different choices for your budget and needs, including early intervention testing for children as young as 5 years old. If you are a school administrator, I can offer early intervention screening and tutoring services at a very reasonable cost, so that truly no child is left behind and children can get the help they need before their self esteem deteriorates.
If you're looking for accurate information about dyslexia, where to start, where to turn, encouragement, dysgraphia, homeschool advice, O-G dyslexia tutoring, or other resources, you've come to the right place!
Please take time to read about me, my dyslexia homeschooling story as a mom of a dyslexic child, and the dyslexia tutoring I offer.
